About Us:
The Marble Doctor was established in 1993 with the sole purpose to provide honest, skilled care for the restoration and maintenance of marble, terrazzo and natual stone.
The President of the Company, James Hunt; has been in the Marble Restoration and Maintenance Industry since 1978. Joining the Marble Union as an apprentice in 1978, he completed a 4 year apprenticeship, served on the executive board and continued as a journeyman until 1993. He then became the V.P. of a small Marble and Metal Restoration and Maintenance Company, building that division to a work force of over 40 people.
In the 17 years he served as that Department Head, he trained his people to meet the high standards of landmark marble and stone restoration and its care and maintenance; as well as completeing some of the most prestigious projects in the Greater New York area. It is this experience and the desire to continue to provide quality service and craftmanship in the Marble Restoration and Maintenance Industry that sets us apart .
